The June issue of Stroll Piper Glen is reaching mailboxes this week, and the whole edition is online and free to read right now if you would rather not wait for it.

This is the first one. The publisher's note calls it the inaugural issue of a magazine written by the residents and exclusively for the residents of TPC Piper Glen, delivered to your home each month at no cost, thanks to the business sponsors whose ads make it possible. That is the deal: the partners pay, the neighbors write, and the magazine shows up.

The cover belongs to Lesley and JJ Childers and their daughter, who joined TPC Piper Glen in 2018. JJ is the one on the golf course, Lesley is the one stopping to talk at the pool and the tennis courts, and their daughter is the one chasing every dog on the property between swim practices.

Precious Pets, the page that introduces one neighborhood animal a month, opens with two: Abby and Tucker, the Newman family's 14-year-old Yorkie and their soon-to-be two-year-old Korean Maltese.

Two dates for the calendar. Coffee with a Cop is Friday, June 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ballantyne Summit Coffee, 13743 Conlan Circle, Suite 101, where Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers meet neighbors over a cup on the second Friday of every month, and Stroll joins them. And the June issue lists the seventh annual Pajamas All Day 5K, a sunset run, for Saturday, August 22, at 5 p.m. at Blakeney Professional Park, 8840 Blakeney Professional Drive; the September issue later carried the run for October 24.

The PDF carries the whole issue, cover to cover. Only some of it runs here as separate stories. Staying in print this month: the Making a Difference page on the fifth annual Move For Jenn Open, where a $27,000 check went to sarcoma clinical trials at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Center, and the publisher's welcome. The month's Partner Spotlight, The Fitness Studio Piper Glen, is on the site as a paid placement.

And the issue runs on its partners. The businesses on the Preferred Partners page are the ones that make this magazine possible and put it in your mailbox. When you need a pool service, a painter or a place to train, start there, and thank them when you get the chance.
