The August issue of Stroll Piper Glen is reaching mailboxes this week, and the whole edition is online and free to read right now if you would rather not wait for it.
The cover belongs to Lauren and Clay Talley, who have called five states home over their marriage, Charlotte the last of them, and who, five years in, say the people are what made this one stick: swim team, a Girl Scout cookie booth, children growing up together.
Precious Pet is Brody, who jumped out of a stranger's car and into Jackie Hawkins's arms as a puppy in Tampa and now, nearly ten years later, is the official mascot of The Fitness Studio in Piper Glen, greeting everyone who walks in.
Three dates for the calendar. Stroll Into Wellness is Thursday, September 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Stephenson Room at Ballantyne Country Club, 11120 Ballantyne Crossing: local wellness companies, music, light refreshments, raffles, door prizes and a cash bar. Feeding Charlotte, this month's Making a Difference subject, takes part in the Food Sustainability Summit on Saturday, September 26, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Elevation Church's University campus, and hosts its Kickball Throwdown, a tournament fundraiser, on November 21 at 9 a.m. at Park Road Park.
The PDF carries the whole issue, cover to cover. Only some of it runs here as separate stories. Staying in print this month: the Feeding Charlotte story, a Home Matters page on decorating with shells, the Fun & Games page, the Real Estate Resource and the publisher's note, "Linger a Little Longer!"
And as always, the issue runs on its partners. The businesses on the Preferred Partners page are the ones that make this magazine possible and put it in your mailbox. Start there when you need them, and thank them when you get the chance.

Catching up? July is online too. Linger a little longer, neighbors.
