The July issue of Stroll Piper Glen is reaching mailboxes this week, and the whole edition is online and free to read right now if you would rather not wait for it.
The cover goes to Blake and Anna Medica and their daughter, nine years into Piper Glen. Blake and Anna met as Florida State students studying abroad in London the summer before senior year; he is a Charlotte native, she grew up in a small town in North Florida, and after college they made Charlotte home.
The first feature is the neighborhood's own party. Sip & Stroll, held May 28, gets a photo spread: neighbors at cocktail tables on the lawn, a band on the patio, and partner tables from the businesses that back the magazine.
Precious Pet this month is Stryker the Hiker, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who lost his owner, found a foster family through The Cavalier Rescue, and landed with a new family in Charlotte. He hikes, he flies, and he posts about it.
One date for the calendar: Coffee with a Cop is Friday, July 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Ballantyne Summit Coffee, 13743 Conlan Circle, Suite 101, the second-Friday gathering with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department officers that Stroll joins each month.
The PDF carries the whole issue, cover to cover. Only some of it runs here as separate stories. Staying in print this month: the publisher's note, "Room to Breathe," the Fun & Games page and the Real Estate Resource supplied by Compass. The month's Partner Spotlight, The British International School of Charlotte, is on the site as a paid placement.
And as always, the issue runs on its partners. The businesses on the Preferred Partners page are the ones that make this magazine possible and put it in your mailbox. Start there when you need them, and thank them when you get the chance.
